An Unusual Art Deco Mantle Clock

An unusual Austrian mantle clock from the early Art Deco period and reflecting the influence of the brief Dada movement after WWI as seen in its juxtaposition of shapes and its vaguely organic yet animatronic look; executed in black lacquered wood inlaid with brass and inset with cabochons of saphire blue glass and mother of pearl. Original, time-only movement signed by Andres and Dworsky, Karlstein an der Thaya, Austria. Circa 1920.
