A very unusual Aesthetic Movement ebonized wood wall clock having openwork balustraded shelves backed by beveled mirror and decorated chalcedony blue ground ceramic plaques; also having a similarly colored and decorated ceramic dial the design of which is attributed to Lewis Day. Original (French) striking movement signed S. Marti. England, ca. 1875.
